A Omnivore's Hundred

Many apologies for the lack of posts! I have been baking and eating out at restaurants but have been rather busy with classes to write about them! When I get a breather (perhaps this weekend), I'll write about them! I should invest in a digital camera... Hrm...

So as you might know, there has been some list floating around the foodie blogging world called the Omnivore's Hundred. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but includes items that one should have at least tried once in their lifetime. There is also a vegetarian/vegan version around somewhere but that might be for another post.

1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.

Without further ado, here is the list:

The VGT Omnivore’s Hundred:

1. Venison
2. Nettle tea
3. Huevos rancheros (Being from SoCal, it was rather difficult to avoid this dish as it is offered in many Mexican restaurants dotting the streets of Los Angeles.)
4. Steak tartare
5. Crocodile
6. Black pudding (I would have like to say that I would never eat this, but upon further research, it turns out that it is one of my favorite Korean snack foods known as soondae which is very delicious dipped in a spicy salt mixture.)

16. Epoisses
17. Black truffle
18. Fruit wine made from something other than grapes
19. Steamed pork buns (Sometimes, the filling can be a little too savory and sweet for me. I prefer to eat the bun solo.)

Another Food Blog!

My name is Jenny and I'm addicted to food. That might be an overstatement but nonetheless... I hope to log my epicurean adventures in college (or the lack thereof). One might think that college is where many surrender to the pitfalls of easy, simple foods (i.e. greasy boxes of massively produced takeout). But that is simply not true! And this is going to be a testament to that... hopefully :)
